Smash Music announces the addition of an early childhood development program. Classes are forming for parents and their infants/toddlers beginning February 13, 2018. The program is being developed by music educator Lexann Mecklenborg with assistance form Smash Music founder Scott Graves.
“ Our program will feature loads of interactivity for both parents and the kiddies.” said Graves. Children will have an opportunity to engage in a variety of musical concepts while bonding with the parents as we see this as the important factor at this age.”
Lexann is a recent graduate of Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus in voice, as well as a minor in psychology. She plays two instruments in addition to singing, the guitar and the piano. Lexann grew up as the oldest of five children and babysits for various families around the area so has a great amount of experience working with children. “I love working with children, and they love me,” she says, “I’m looking forward to working with you and your child and playing music together!”
In this class you and your child will be learning about various instruments, learning new songs, dancing around the room to pieces from famous composers, and much more. Our goal is to share our love of music with you and your child in a way that will stay with them for years to come! Music is a powerful tool and a wonderful way to help your little ones to connect with you and the world around them.
Classes will be offered Tuesdays 9:00AM and 10:30AM. Additional classes for groups will also be offered by appointment. Classes will take place in the Smash Music Shared Space 25 East Broadway Derry. There is free parking in the rear. This class is being offered at $70.00/family for one 7-week session.
Open houses for meeting your teacher will be announced via our website.
